The film uses Greek mythology and magic in creative ways. There is a “ceramic” element that drives the story. Children must learn about their enemies and how to fight them. Their superhero lair, Rock of Eternity, resembles the Hogwarts common room. In a clever second act, the protagonist explores and discovers useful new allies in a previously mysterious world. Billy’s desire for them to work together manifests itself in a natural and adventurous way.
