THE SUPER MARIO BROS MOVIE tells the story of a plumber turning into a hero. Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) are brothers who start a plumbing business in Brooklyn, New York. They rarely receive calls to use the service.…a confusion. Their family advises them to quit their stable jobs to follow their dreams. However, both decided to keep trying. One day, they learn that a leaking manhole in Brooklyn leads to flooding on the streets. Mario and Luigi arrive on the scene and go underground to find out what caused the leak. In the process, it is sucked into the warp pipe and separated. Luigi lands in Dark Her Land ruled by Bowser King Bowser (Jack Black). Bowser recently won a “super star”. His aim is to capture the neighboring Mushroom Kingdom and marry its princess Perch (Anya Taylor his Joy). Meanwhile, Mario reaches the Mushroom Kingdom. He meets Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) who takes him to meet Perch. Perch is overjoyed that Mario is human like her. She knows that Bowser is going to attack her own kingdom. She decides to head to the Jungle Kingdom to seek help from King Cranky (Fred Armisen). She also asks Mario to join her on her journey to help save Luigi from Bowser’s crutches.
