Joeseph Staten, a Halo development veteran at both Bungie and 343 Industries, is reportedly stepping away from Microsoft’s blockbuster space shooter franchise again.
Staten will remain at Microsoft, but not at Halo Studios 343 Industries, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier. said After joining the company last night to ensure the beleaguered Halo Infinite is released.

Staten worked on the first Halo trilogy at Bungie and has since contributed to the further development of the franchise’s story. While at Bungie, he also helped with his Destiny work, 2013 departurea year before the game was finally released.
Six months later, Staten re-emerged at Xbox Game Studios in a senior role, contributing to the writing of ReCore and Crackdown 3. It was then revealed that in 2020 he would join the Halo Infinite team and the project could no longer launch alongside his Xbox Series X/S.
Staten’s current position at 343 Industries is Head of Creative for Halo Infinite. At this time, it’s not clear what role Staten will take on next at Microsoft.
