Milk is the most widely consumed beverage in the world and an important part of most people’s diets. The main sources of milk in India are buffaloes, cows, and rarely sheep and goats. After puberty, low-fat milk should be consumed to reduce saturated fat intake. Milk and dairy products are an important part of a healthy diet as long as the levels are not excessive. However, eating more than your daily requirement for an extended period of time can potentially lead to serious health risks.
