Gadar 2 Advance Booking Report: Film sells 2,74,000 tickets for Day 1 across three national multiplex chains :Bollywood Box Office
Certain films etch themselves into the cultural fabric, leaving an indelible mark on audiences and industry alike. Such is the case with the monumental success of “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” a film that achieved unprecedented acclaim upon its release. Fast forward to today, and the much-anticipated sequel, aptly titled Gadar 2, marking the return of Sunny Deol as Tara Singh and Ameesha Patel as Sakina the film has been enjoying incredible trending among the audience. In fact, in 2001 the film struck a chord with the audience, and now two decades later the sequel directed by Anil Sharma seems to be following a similar path. But will this hype surrounding the film convert to box office collections is the question of the hour.
As per reports, Gadar 2 that is slated to hit screens today has managed to sell a staggering 2,74,000 tickets across three national multiplex chains alone for its first day. Not surprisingly, PVR chain has recorded the highest sales with 1,16,000 tickets being sold, followed by INOX that sold 1,01,000 tickets and Cinepolis that recorded sales of 57,000 tickets. With anticipation for Gadar 2 at an all-time high among fans, the film is expected to exceed all expectations, swiftly becoming a box office phenomenon.
Given the good spate of advance bookings, Gadar 2 is expected to break records and touch hearts. In fact, the immense positive wave the film is riding on is sure to ensure a double digit opening for Gadar 2 with the likelihood of the venture emerging as one of the highest opening day grossers this year. Currently, based on the audience verdict and early reviews trade predictions state that Gadar 2 is set to rule the box office.
