Destiny 2’s Root Of Nightmares First World Winner Confirmed
The winner of Destiny 2’s Root of Nightmares World First has been confirmed by Bungie. On Twitter, the developers congratulated Team Hard in the Paint (HITP) on their accomplishments.
The Route of Nightmare Raid was released on March 10th at 9am PT / 12pm ET. The HITP member streamed his run on Twitch and completed it in about 2 hours and 24 minutes. Destiny 2 Raid Report SiteIt took a few more hours for Bungie to verify the validity of the completion, resulting in the congratulatory tweet above.
The next fastest clear after HITP is 2 hours and 33 minutes. The Destiny 2 raid report site continues to update team clears, so be sure to check back for new clear times and leaderboards if you’re interested.
Route of Nightmare is currently in contest mode and has a power cap of 1780 to keep the race fair for the first time in the world. Certain Exotic weapons are also disabled in Contest Mode. All players who complete the Loot of Nightmare raid while Contest Mode is active will receive an exclusive emblem, and anyone who completes the raid by March 21st will receive a loot of Nightmare wearable in the real world. There is an opportunity to purchase themed raid jackets.
Note that you can access the jacket if you complete the raid before the specified date. You still have to pay to get the items. if you want it Root of Nightmare jacket is $150.
