Chris Rock finally addresses Will Smith’s Oscar slapping in his new Netflix comedy special

Nearly a year later, Chris Rock has finally addressed the slap he received from Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars in his new Netflix comedy special, Chris Rock: Selective Outrage.

As reported by variety, didn’t get the lock slap Right off the bat, though, I let out a little yell throughout the show, including when he said, The man who says ‘words hurt’ has never been punched in the face. ”

When he got to this topic, he started joking.not yet pain. “

“You know what happened to me getting hit by Suge Smith. Everybody knows. Everybody knows,” Rock said. “I was spanked like he was a year ago… And people said, ‘Did it hurt?’ It still hurts. ‘Summertime’ blaring in my ear.”

He went on to say that he was not a “victim” and was not going on a talk show tour to tell the world how he felt about this.

“I’m not a victim baby,” Locke said. “You’ll never see me in Oprah or Gayle [King] Crying. You never see it…it never happens. F*** that s***, I took like that s*** [Manny] Pacquiao”

He also confirmed that yes, the slap was painful. After all, as Rock points out, Smith is much bigger than him and has played Muhammad Ali on the big screen .

“Will Smith is a lot bigger than me. Will Smith played Muhammad Ali in the movie Played Pookie in “New Jack City.” He played corn on Pootie Tongue. ”

“His wife was a friend of our son. “Nah,” Rock said. Everyone here has been deceived. None of us have ever been interviewed on television by someone who cheated on us. She hurt him more than he hurt me. ”

He later said he tried to talk to Will after the episode aired, but it didn’t work out.

“Everybody in the world called him ab****,” said Rock. I called the man and tried to convey his condolences. He didn’t pick me up. Everyone called him ab****. myself. ”

Rock then gave Smith some love while getting another jab.

“I love Will Smith. All his life… he makes great movies,” Locke said. “I’ve been rooting for Will Smith my whole life. I’m rooting for this m************,” Locke said. I watch ‘Liberation’ just to see it do.”

Finally, Rock shared why he didn’t try to slap Will or retaliate.

“Because I had parents,” Locke explained.
